Dayna Lynn Lovelady's Obituary
Dallas, Tx passed away peacefully on August 28, 2008, from the arms of her loving family to the loving arms of her Lord. After many years of illness, she is now without pain. Dayna was born in Oklahoma City, OK to John A. Bridges and Hilda Laverne Cooper. She is survived by one loving son, Jordan J. Lovelady of Dallas and Waco, TX, her parents, John A. and Patricia Bridges and her mother Hilda L. Bridges and one sister Dawn Michelle (Bridges) Vance, all of Oklahoma City, three step-brothers; Duane, Don and Mike Starke all of Colorado Springs, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the Lovelady Family; Jim, Dottie, Paul and Brian, all of the Dallas area. Dayna has been a School Teacher since she was six years old at her blackboard on her closet door and when she finally received her Disability Retirement, she had taught for many years and had reached the level of Director of Special Student Services for all of the Richardson, TX School District. She loved “her kids”. During many of her hospital stays, her past students and their parents would visit her in the hospital. One even came to Pittsburgh, PA when she received her four organ transplant in 2003. Dayna was loved by every person she met and we already miss her. Dayna’s favorite hobby, other than “her kids”, was cooking and her large collection of Cookbooks prove it.
