Dayne lived on a farm during his childhood years in Orlando, Oklahoma and moved to Austin, Texas in 1946. He went to Austin High School and graduated in 1953 and excelled in chorus and debate club. He served for several years in the Air National Guard. During college, Dayne worked at his Uncle Henry Studtmann’s Photo. He then graduated from University of Texas, in Austin, Texas in 1963 with a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration and went on to work at Commerce Clearinghouse selling topical tax laws to accounting and law firms in the downtown and surrounding Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He was very gifted in administration and finance and served for many years on the board and as treasurer at Freedom Life Church in Carrollton, Texas. Dayne was instrumental in locating the property where Freedom Life Church is now located. The grandchildren remember him for drilling them on their states and capitals and giving them quarters for perfect memorization. He was known for making the best homemade peach and strawberry ice cream at family gatherings. Dayne was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who never left his wife’s side after she suffered three strokes in 2015. He was a wonderful provider for his family, a man of great integrity, wisdom and faithfulness. His sense of humor kept the family laughing right up to the end. We celebrate his life and praise God that he’s with his Creator and singing with the angels at the feet of Jesus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
