Deanna Lynn Robinson's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deanna Lynne Robinson, who left this world on February 6 at the age of 66. She was surrounded by love and embraced in the warmth of family during her final moments.
Born on October 29, Deanna was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend, and an unwavering source of strength and kindness to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter, compassionate heart, and boundless generosity left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Deanna was the first female police officer hired by the Addison Police Department in 1981. During her 30-year career with the Addison Police, she worked in patrol, was an investigator in Criminal Investigation Department and was assigned to oversee the hiring of new police officers. Deanna climbed the ranks to retire as a Captain. She was a highly decorated police officer, respected and admired for her dedication and service.
She found joy in traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and was a master at telling stories that would make you laugh and cry. Deanna was always generous with her time and would go out of her way to help friends, colleagues, and family. She was a role model for all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Terry, mother Hattie, son Jerad, granddaughters Jade and Jemma, stepdaughters Bonnie, Holly, and Susanna and siblings Dena, Janet, Mark, and Sharon, who will forever cherish the love and memories they shared with her. She was preceded in death by her father Bill Ed Caffee.
A celebration of Deanna’s life will be held on February 18 at 2 pm at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor her memory and share stories of the remarkable life she lived. Deanna had a passion for helping others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Texas Police Chiefs Association Foundation, which supports the families of police officers killed in the line of duty. Deanna’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love and legacy will remain forever.
