Deborah R. Keel's Obituary
Deborah “Debi” Ray (Schmidt) Keel, born May 21, 1958 in Huntsville, Alabama, to Thomas L. Schmidt and Roberta Ann (Vice) Schmidt and departed this life on October 22, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Debi was youngest of four children born into a Military Family. She lived in Alabama, Texas, New Mexico, West Germany, Louisiana and Kansas. She loved to travel and see the different sites around this country and the world. Debi was a fun loving individual who would brighten any situation with her smile and presence. Debi was a loving and caring Mother, Sister and daughter. Once she became your friend, you had a true friend for life. She was a licensed dental assistant, licensed veterinary assistant and worked for over 20 years with Verizon in project management. Debi is survived by her loving children, Stacy (Davis) Garner of Carrollton, Evan Keel of Aubrey, 1SG Peter Keel of Baumhholder, Germany and Michelle (Keel) Deans of The Colony, grandchildren, Amarissa Gardner, Katerina Keel, Camey Keel; Tres Keel, Ian Deans, Mason Deans, brother Donnie Payne and wife Barbara of Mckinney, sister-in-law Vickie Schmidt of Haslett, nieces Donna Latham of Mckinney, Julie Payne of Van Alstyne, Jessica (Schmidt) Swinford of Ft Worth, and nephew Jason Schmidt of Haslett, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and her beloved Boston Terrier, Daisy. Debi also leaves behind many great friends and co-workers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Terry Payne and Jackie Schmidt. A gathering will be held Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 12:00PM – 3:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Debi will be inurned in the Nocona Cemetery, Nocona, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Texas Central Hemophilia Association.
