Debra Kay Falagrady's Obituary
Debra Kay Falagrady
September 11, 1956 - July 01, 2026
Debra “Debbie” Falagrady, 69, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on July 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 11, 1956, to Vernon and Ellen Reser, Debbie grew up in Northglenn, Colorado, as the youngest of three children and the only daughter. From an early age, she displayed the determination, kindness, and strength that would define her life.
Debbie was a passionate educator who devoted more than 20 years to serving students and families in the Diocese of Dallas as both a teacher and Assistant Principal. She was known for her unwavering commitment to helping children learn, her remarkable gift for mathematics, and her talent for bringing order to even the most complex schedules. Debbie lived by the belief that “everyone can do math,” and she inspired countless students to gain confidence in themselves and discover abilities they never knew they had.
Above all else, Debbie’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her role as a mother. Her daughters were the center of her world and the source of her deepest love. Even after the loss of her beloved husband, Nick, she remained the steady foundation of her family—a source of strength, comfort, and unwavering support. Through every milestone, challenge, and ordinary day, she could always be counted on to show up with love, wisdom, and guidance. No matter the moment or the need, Debbie was always there.
Debbie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and quiet resilience that touched the lives of all who knew her. Her independent spirit, generous heart, and unwavering determination inspired family, friends, colleagues, and students alike. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched and the love she shared. Debbie will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered.
She is survived by her daughters, Nicole Falagrady and Raenel Sevier (John), and her brother, Ron Reser. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas “Nick” Falagrady; her father, Vernon Reser; her mother, Ellen Bookhammer; and her brother, Michael Reser.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Debbie’s life. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. A reception will immediately follow the service at Restland.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Debbie’s courageous fight and in support of others facing cancer.
