Dee Reba Turner's Obituary
TURNER, DEE, born January 23, 1922 in Eldorado, OK and passed away November 1, 2007 in Dallas, TX. Dee’s love of the beach began when she lived and worked on the west coast during World War II. Following the war she moved back to Texas where she met the love of her life, Homer. Together they raised a family and she was the matriarch of a wonderful home. Dee enjoyed spending summers with her family n Colorado where she had many friends and enjoyed the cool mountain air. She loved to dance and was an active member of the Swinging Saints Dance Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her friends at the Elk Lodge 71 in Dallas. Dee is survived by her husband of 59 years, Homer Turner; daughter, Tanya Steele; son, Bart Turner; granddaughter, Jennifer Turner; sisters; Jean Goodman and Bon Stanshaw; she also leaves behind many friends she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her brother whom she loved dearly, J.B. Worley. She will be greatly missed by all, especially her husband, children and grandchild. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Dee will be laid to rest on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 in Rule, TX. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, P.O.
