This is now March of 2026. I thought of De on my way to an appointment today and wondered what he was up to. Random, I know. I can’t tell you how sad this makes me and for his family and friends. I worked with De at North Haven Gardens and Nortex. We set off on our own and started Southwest Foliage. Wild ride! A lot of great adventures! Always fun, smiling and everyone loved him! I know he’s been deeply missed! Here’s to your never ending adventure De! Until we meet again. Love you kiddo!

I am deeply saddened to just now see that my oldest friend DeForrest has died over a year ago. We were best of friends in elementary school. I would love to say hello to anyone in his family that would like to hear about our childhood adventures.

DeForrest always had a smile and a wave for me across the street. I remember many chats at the curb. He always saw me working on the yard, and I think one time feeling so sorry for me, he gave me a huge bag of grass seed he had, just to help. I believe it is still growing ?? With deepest condolences to Mary Belle, Susan and Margie and Family from Elissa Simon. You might still have very fond memories of my parents Gertrude and Philip Simon, who will now welcome De with open arms.
