Delma Loyd Kirk's Obituary
KIRK, DELMA LOYD Age 91, of Dallas TX, passed away peacefully on 1/20/2012. He was born on 3/10/1920 in Honey Grove, TX to his parents, Oscar and Nellie. He married Dorothy Lunell Looney on April 24, 1944. He worked in the CCC at White Rock Lake and attended barber school. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years during World War II, earning the rank of Coxswain. He was the owner of Rankin Barbershop in Snyder Plaza for 39 years. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, woodcarving and visiting with family. Loyd is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy, his parents, and his eight siblings. He will be remembered and missed by his sons, Philip and his wife Darlene and Jack and his wife Joan; grandchildren, Karen, Kristen, Noe, James, Andrew, and Victoria: and great grandchildren, Roger, Jack and Ariel. Services will be at 10:00am, Monday, January 23rd at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
