Delores Helen Hodge's Obituary
HODGE, DELORES, HELEN Delores H. Hodge died peacefully August 4th 2012 after a long illness. Delores was born in Durand Wisconsin in 1934 to Caroline and Lewis Owen. After graduating from Cudahy High School in Wisconsin, she went on to serve honorably in the United States Air Force. She met the love of her life Dalen F. Hodge and they married in Dallas, Texas on December 14th 1956. Along with raising a family, Delores drove a school bus for deaf children and was active at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. She joyfully joins her loved ones who have gone on to Heaven before her: her father, Lewis Owen; her mother, Caroline Owen; her brothers, Warren, Neil, and Wayne Owen and her sister Karlene Bong. She leaves behind her husband of 55 years; her sister Mary Jane Boye; her daughter Joan Hodge; her son and daughter-in-law, H. Wayne and Cynthia Hodge and her granddaughters Caroline Hodge and Chelsea Chambers, To Celebrate her life. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all of the people who helped care for Mrs. Hodge during her extended illness. Every act of kindness was gratefully received and appreciated from the depths of our hearts. Visitation Wednesday August 8th, 2012. From 6 Pm. To 8 Pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday August 9th at Wildwood Chapel Restland Memorial Park at 10:00 Am with interment to follow at 12:30 pm at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Silver Stars Program.
