Delores Ann Williams' Obituary
Delores (“Ann”) Williams, loving wife, mom, Grandmomma, aunt and friend passed away on July 31, 2021, at her home in Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was born in McKinney, Texas on September 26, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents Bus Wilson and Opal Capps Wilson, husband of 67 years, Frank Williams, brother Roy Wilson, brother-in-law Billy Williams, sister-in-law and best friend Wanda Williams.
Ann was an accountant for various companies in Dallas before retiring to Cedar Creek Lake. Once retired she and Frank owned a resale shop and a defensive driving business for many years. She was secretary/ treasurer and board member of the Timber Bay POA in her beloved neighborhood for 24 years. She enjoyed working in the yard, tending to her many plants in her garden(s) and trips to the boat hoping for a good craps table and loose slots. What Ann treasured most of all were the times she spent with her family, trolling for sand bass with Frank, playing “rich lady” with her granddaughters, dancing on the porch to George Jones or Vince Gill, a good game of poker or gin rummy, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys while drinking a cold beer.
Ann is survived by her children, Randy Williams and wife, Debbie, Gary Williams and wife, Pam, Debi Lokey and husband, Eric; brother Rick Fowler; nieces Tina Williams and Jeanne Olson; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Visitation starting at 1:00 PM. Service at 2:00 PM. Graveside service to follow.
