I worked with Deloy for a number of years. He was probably the person I respected most durong those first years of my career.
I worked at Restland from March 2017 to March 2020. Deloy was a very quiet man but I got to know him a little bit and came to respect him. He did his job with great detail and I appreciated that very much. I looked up to him because of how much he cared Day in and day out. He really cared about his job, we need more of that in the funeral industry. His family and friends are in my prayers.

So heartbroken to learn about his passing. Deloy was a man we are all better off for having known. A man of integrity. Patience and constant consistency. I never once knew him to take a single shortcut at anything he did. I will miss your smile, unique humor and that chuckle that only you had every time I ever got the pleasure of seeing you.
He was a quiet, unassuming man. His demeanor made me always want to have my paperwork right. He was a professional without the ego. And he was always kind. If he ever had a bad day, it never showed. We could all learn something from him. He will definitely be missed.
Have you ever met a person who had no interest in the drama of everyday, saw no point in gossip or hatefulness. A person who treated everyone with dignity and kindness. Someone who did their job with critical detail and always fulfilled the obligation to those he served. Did the right thing when no one was looking, always. A gentle soul that could speak their mind and make you want to listen rather than argue.
I was fortunate to call this person my friend. I pray each of you find this person in your life and quietly absorb their light.

Hearing of DeLoy's passing made me feel very sad. I respected DeLoy for his honesty, integrity, and his work ethics. I remember sharing bags of candy corn and jelly beans with him. He will certainly be missed.
