Demitra Reness Robertson-Montz's Obituary
Demitra Reness Robertson-Montz of Richardson, TX, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Mount Vernon, MO, on her way home from church. She was 45 years young, and had recently moved to Missouri with her husband, David Montz, of Neosho, MO. Her son, Johnathan, was everything to her. Demitra was married to David Montz on Sunday, July 30, 2017, in Dallas, TX, and David and Demitra shared a love for each other that was truly amazing. She was the love of his life, and he was the love of her life.
Born February 13, 1976, in Athens Greece, Demitra is the daughter of John and Dorothy Robertson. Her father, John, was an Electrical Engineer in the United States Air Force, and Demitra travelled extensively with her family during her father’s 20 years in the Service. Demitra loved to travel and spend time with her family.
Demitra lived her life to help others and had a passion for caring for people. Demitra was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN), graduated high school from Lake Highland in Richardson, TX, and completed her nursing program in Omaha, NE. Her passion for nursing was in hospice, and she loved and cared for many families in her career. Last year, she cared for her husband’s father, Robin Montz of Neosho, MO, who passed in early January 2021.
Baptized at an early age, Demitra joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Omaha, NE. Demitra practiced forgiveness faithfully without effort, loved the Lord above all else, and loved everyone as Jesus loved us, just as it is commanded. After moving to Missouri, Demitra and David attended New Horizon’s Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Republic, MO. Everyone who knew Demitra loved her dearly. Demitra touched the hearts of many people and saved many lives along the way!
Demitra was preceded in death by her loving father, John Robertson.

She is also survived by several aunts, cousins, relatives, and many friends who loved her dearly.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Section O of Restland Memorial Park.
