Dennie Edene Bockemehl's Obituary
Bockemehl, Dennie Edene (Tey) was born in Dallas on May 15, 1936 to parents: Maurice E. and Velma Wood Tey. She passed away on October 31, 2019 due to complications of pneumonia. She bravely fought severe and debilitating arthritis for many years.She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, H.A. Bockemehl, Jr.As a lifelong resident of Dallas, she grew up in the suburb of Oak Cliff and graduated from W.H. Adamson High School in 1954. After graduation, she worked in a family business for a short period before joining Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas from which she retired in 1993. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and dear friends and being at home.Until her health declined, she was active in the life of the church at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, working with many ministry efforts including the Intercessory Prayer Team.She was the beloved mother of her only son, Darrell Bockemehl and wife, Melinda; very proud Grandma of Jared Luke Bockemehl and Lauren Suzanne Bockemehl; proud sister to Larry W. Tey and wife, Janis and a dedicated friend to many.She was beautiful in every way. Her radiant smile and kind, loving spirit will be very missed.Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 10 am in The Wildwood Chapel in Restland Cemetery.
