Dennis P. George's Obituary
Dennis P. George left this earth on June 14, 2018, just 73 days after the love of his life and best friend of 40 years, Terri G. George. They are both finally in paradise together like they always dreamed. Dennis was truly a friend to many. He bestowed his truest love to Terri, his daughter, Amber George Kim, her husband Andrew B. Kim and his grandchildren, Avery, Aidan, and Austin. To his brothers, Samuel, Greg and Don George, he was the baby of the family. He displayed to each of them throughout his life his brotherly love.Dennis was an all-American athlete at Bishop Dunne High School and graduated in 1968. Upon graduating, he briefly attended Tyler Junior College before starting his career as a buyer in the workforce. He served Merle Norman as a senior buyer for almost 10 years then relocated back to his home town of Dallas, Texas where he served as a senior buyer for Hensley Industries for 16 years. He retired in April 2017 and was looking forward to planning his next adventures in Belize.Dennis never met a stranger. He loved to have a good time with friends and family. He believed in living life to the fullest and did a great job of living up to these words by frequently attending sporting events (especially those of his beloved Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys). He was a loyal fan to all Dallas’ teams. He loved traveling to California and Hawaii to play golf. He especially loved traveling to Ambergris Caye, Belize where he and Terri dreamed of building a bed and breakfast.Dennis’ pale blue eyes and infectious laughter will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Please consider honoring Dennis and Terri by making a contribution to The Magdalen House. Maggie’s House was close to Terri’s heart and my dad always supported Terri in her service work. www.magdalenhouse.org/donateA funeral service to celebrate Dennis Pius George’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 2:30 PM at The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. The Funeral arrangements for Mr. Dennis Pius George have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
