Dr. Der Chuen Wang's Obituary
WANG, DER- CHUEN, age 83, of Plano, Texas has passed away peacefully on August 19, 2012 at Medical Center of Plano. He was born on November 13, 1928 in An Hui, China to his parents, Xue-Cherng Wang and Mrs. Liu. Der-Chuen was the oldest of 2. He married Yuan-Fa Cherng in Taipei, Taiwan on February 19, 1957. They had 3 children. Der attended Michigan State University in 1962 and graduated in 1972 with a PhD degree in Forestry. He was a professor of National Taiwan University and chairman of Department of Forestry and Resources Conservation from 1980 to 1986. He was lived in Plano, Texas since 1997 and enjoyed reading, exercising and gardening. Der-Chuen will be remembered by his loving children; daughter, Yi-Jen; sons, Yih-Pong and Yih-Jiahn. He is also survived by granddaughter, Marian; grandsons, Bill, Micheal, Alex and Andy. He is preceded in death by wife, Yuan-Fa. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral service for Der-Chuen at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
