Derek Lewis James' Obituary
Derek Lewis James also known as D3BO was born on April 28, 1971 in Dallas Texas. He was a beloved husband and a very respected longtime Dallas musician who passed away on April 2, 2024 at the tender age of 52. His family and his music were his two biggest passions.
Originally from Richardson Texas, he was currently living in Cibolo Texas where he passed away at home surrounded by family and friends after a brief battle with cancer.
Derek is survived by wife Melissa; older brother David and wife Nancy James; stepson Shawn Beasley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe W. and Marlene Munday James; older sister Denise Hartman; older brother Dennis James and late wife Dixie Beasley.
Family, friends and others are invited to Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas at 2:00 pm on May 4, 2024, to reminisce and honor the life of Derek James.
There will be an interment service at Restland following the service.
