Derrick Oronde Brown's Obituary
Derrick Oronde Brown, age 40, passed away on January 8, 2019 in Lewisville, Texas. He was born on April 11, 1978 to Ron Brown and Prince Ella Wilson Brown in Galveston, Texas. Derrick was a music producer in his later years, and worked in the hospitality and restaurant business as a young adult. He was a member of the Greenville Avenue Church of Christ in Richardson, Texas. Derrick graduated from Plano High School and attended Grambling State University. He is survived by his sons, Priest Mason Brown and Roman Lee Brown of Krum, Texas; his parents, Ron and Prince Ella Wilson Brown of Lewisville, Texas; brother Marcus Brown (wife, Nicole & children, Sidney and Cameron) of Bakersfield, California; and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Brown Jenkins of Shreveport, Louisiana. Derrick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stacy R. & Juanita Long Wilson; paternal great grandparents, Frank C. & Herese Hart Brown; and maternal great grandparents,Goldman, Sr. and Florence Long.A visitation will take place on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Greenville Avenue Church of Christ in Richardson, Texas
