Derrick Joel Bagenda's Obituary
Derrick Bagenda was born in Kampala Uganda on August 5th, 1991 to Ms. Juliet Wamala and Mr. Richard Ssembusi. Derrick leaves behind older siblings Isaac, Fiona, and Rachael. Derrick and family moved to the United States in 2002, residing in Chicago. He moved to Little Rock Arkansas where he completed middle through high school and moved to Dallas Texas. He attended Brookhaven College briefly, enjoyed reading history books and the bible, he also loved playing basketball, relaxing and making music with his older brother Isaac and friends. Derrick was very easy going, had a big heart for others in need, courageous and was not afraid of anything; likely because of his profound belief in the Bible and its afterlife promises. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service to celebrate Derrick’s life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
