Thank you Mr. Desi for being a great role model. I remember when my son had a mental breakdown, you was there along with the Greater Life men to help us during our time of need. You made sure to check on us after the fact. You always kept a smile and I'm going to miss you greeting me at church. Continued prayers for the family. May God comfort you all during this time.

When I was nine, Daddy introduced me to roller skating. We spent nearly every weekend skating around Bachman Lake together, but one weekend stands out above the rest. It was my birthday and he went the entire morning without saying 'Happy Birthday.' He made breakfast for us and played his Sarah Dash, Ashford & Simpson and Peaches & Herb LPs while we cleaned, acting as if it were any other Saturday.
When it came time to do my hair, he couldn't find my barrettes, so he improvised and clamped two red plastic clothespins on my pigtails. I spent the day looking like Pippi Longstocking, sad and wondering if he’d forgotten my birthday entirely. That was, until we arrived at The Spaghetti Warehouse, where a trolley full of my classmates were waiting to yell 'Surprise!' That has always remained one of the best birthdays of my life, a testament to his playful spirit and the many thoughtful ways he showed his love. I am so lucky he chose to be my dad. I know that it is because of his love and guidance that I am who I am today. I’ll miss you dearly and I’ll love you always.
Desi was an incredible man of integrity, generosity & dedication. I am honored to have known such a wonderful man. Desi was part of our small group at Greater Life. This group allowed me to get to know just how sincere he was in his walk with God. I’m thankful for his kind & gentle spirit. Stephanie, thanks for sharing your wonderful husband with us. My prayer is that God grants you comfort in the days to come, like only He can. Determined - Dedicated - Desi
When we had our very first Family Reunion in Baltimore MD.
He and Family stayed in the full basement. Desi cooked ribs on the grill for hours and they were tender and tasty. He knows how to grill.

My Brother you are already missed tremendously. I know we ate selfish and would like to have more time, But God saw fit to call His good and faithful humble servant home. We are blessed to know you Stephanie and family. Take care and God bless always. Love and peace to the entire Tanner family.

Bro. Desi was always a pleasure to converse with about Spiritual or everyday life events. He was enlightening.
May God bless his family to get through this difficult time of loss. May he provide strength and healing. Lifting the family in prayer.
Blessings 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽,

I will truly miss my friend and fellow servant in Ministry. Desi had an unselfish Way that he shared life, love, and laughter. Well done, my friend and brother.
