Detective Jerry Ronald Walker's Obituary
Detective Jerry Ronald Walker, 47, ended his watch in the line of duty Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Denton, TX. He was born on November 10, 1969 in Tyler, Texas. Jerry graduated from J.P. Taravella High School in 1989. He went on to serve in the US Army during Operation Desert Storm. Jerry became a law enforcement officer with the Little Elm Police Department in 1998 where he was presently serving as a detective. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00PM – 8:00PM in Faith Chapel, Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W Park Blvd., Plano, TX 75093. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 10:00AM in the Worship Center, Prestonwood Baptist Church. Interment with military honors will follow in the Garden of Honor at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Bragg of Brownsboro; sisters, Peisha Ortiz of Pembrook Pines, FL, Neala Rankin of West Sacramento, CA, Danielle Walker of Conroe and Amanda Bragg of Pilot Point; brother, Bryan Bragg of Houston; Grandmothers, Louise Guthrie of Eustace, and Louise Walker of Salt Lake City, UT; girlfriend, Hali Grooms of Little Elm. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bragan Walker.
