Diamond James Pantaze's Obituary
Diamond J. Pantaze, 92 was born on October 26, 1927 to Demetrius D. and Kanellio Pantaze. He passed away on April 28, 2020 in Plano Texas. When the Pantaze family moved from Dallas to Port Arthur, Diamond completed his early education there, graduating from Jefferson High School and then attending Lamar University in Beaumont until the end of World War II when his military service intervened. After the family returned to Dallas in 1949, Diamond attended SMU and graduated after having focused on marketing and advertising. He then received a degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and then attended law school at SMU. Diamond became a successful practicing attorney until his forced retirement following a serious and debilitating auto accident. He was always health conscious, loved playing tennis, and was a very kind person who will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Demetrius D and Kanellio Pantaze; and brothers: George, Thero, Anthony, Alexander and his sister, Angelina Pantaze. The Trisagion and Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Dallas Texas.
