Dian Williams' Obituary
Dian Williams was born on May 8, 1954 to John and Patricia Hamilton in Blythe, California. Her parents moved to Texas soon after and she became a Texan through and through. She passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Dian lived in the Dallas area most of her adult life and was a member of First Baptist Dallas for the last 16 years. She worked for the church as the administrative assistant in the Media Department until her retirement in 2019. She was involved in the construction project for the new church building, and was happy to be supporting a church that she loved.
Dian graduated from Bryan Adams and took several college classes to further her career throughout her life. She came to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a teenager during a James Robinson Crusade in Dallas. Dian met her husband Alan at a Valentines party at First Baptist of Sachse. Her fervor for the Lord never diminished and she and her husband served Him in their early marriage as Singles and Divorce Care teachers. She never lost her love of helping others.
Dian had many talents and enjoyed life in general. Some of the things she enjoyed the most were traveling, gardening, fishing, spending time at the beach, remodeling, cooking, music and the Cowboys. The most enjoyable thing to her was supporting her grandkids in all the activities they were involved in.
Dian is survived by her loving husband Alan Williams and son Chris Chambers and his wife Kelly, daughter Jenny Baker and her husband Scott, step daughter Geraldine Keller and her husband Jeff, stepsons James Williams and his wife Valerie, Phillip Grylls and his wife Mindy, and Ryan Williams and his wife Bobbie. She had 15 grandchildren and she adored all of them more than life itself.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Pat Hamilton and brother Jeff Hamilton.
Dian believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She lived her life devoted to Him and knew that she would see her Lord in Heaven. She prayed that others would seek and find Him, so they could also feel His peace and receive the gift of Salvation.
