Diana J. Larocca's Obituary
Diana Joyce LaRocca was born to Chester Edward McGee and Lorraine Humphrey McGee on July 21, 1937 in Mena, Arkansas. On March 11, 2016, Diana passed away in her sleep at the age of 78. She married the love of her life, Roy (Rocky) LaRocca on May 24, 1963 and they were married for 32 years before his death. She devoted her whole life to Rocky and together they shared such wonderful memories traveling the world to places including Hong Kong, cruises in Europe and trips to the Caribbean. In her earlier years, Diana was a stewardess for American Airlines and then worked the remainder of her career for Delta Airlines. As Diana endured many health issues over the last few years, she remained optimistic and always kept her quick wit and smile around others. Her life’s greatest joys were her husband, friends, family and her dogs that she treated like her children. Diana lived life to the fullest and never ceased to amaze all with her “life lessons” and the art of sharing what it takes to have a “perfect loving marriage”. Over the course of Diana’s life, she has many special names including Memommie, Auntie Di and Didi to 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and so many special friends. Preceding Diana in her death were her husband, Rocky, her brother, Chet McGee, her sisters LaVonne McGee and Linda Philpot, her step daughter, Christine LaRocca, and her mother and father, Chester Edward and Lorraine McGee. Diana is survived by her stepsons, Mike, Mark and Pat LaRocca and her beloved dog, Pebbles. The family is very grateful for the wonderful staff at Caruth Haven. A celebration of Diana’s life will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, at Restland Memorial Chapel. Her honorary pallbearers are her special nieces and nephews Steve .Sheri, Randy, Gary, Karen and Kim. Diana was an inspiration to all about living life to the fullest and making every day count. She will be greatly missed and we were lucky to share her for so many years. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you donate to the charity that touches your heart and gives back to others.
