Diane Collins' Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Diane Collins announce her passing on January 19, 2019, due to complications from the autoimmune disease, that she was battling. Diane will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John Collins and her daughter, Heather (Chuck) Turner and her bonus sons Christopher and Michael Collins. Diane will also be sweetly remembered by her grandchildren; Tabitha, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Colton, her sister; Susan (John) Johnson and her brother; Micheal Arney and also several nieces, nephews, and lots of extended family and dear friends. Diane is preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Juanita Arney.Della Diane Arney Collins, known to everyone as Diane, was born on April 11, 1956, in Wolfe City, TX to Calvin and Juanita Arney. Diane went to South Garland High School, where she lived most of her childhood. She had one child, Heather with her first husband, Larry Massey. She spent most of her time those years volunteering at multiple school events and helping with Heather’s drill team in Mesquite. Diane worked numerous jobs but she was last employed by Tolt Technologies, where she was a supervisor and a computer technician and a second momma to most of the guys there. In 2007, she retired to Cedar Creek Lake with her husband who preceded her in death, Carter O’Neill. Diane married John Collins on February 14, 2014 and they had great plans for their lives together. Unfortunately, Diane became ill in May of 2014 and her battle with autoimmune disease completely changed their lives. She still enjoyed cooking, hosting family and friends, and taking care of her grandkids. She fought a hard fight against this disease and hoped to be cured one day. Diane will be sorely missed by many who loved her.Vistation for Ms. Diane Collins will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 2:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel located at 13005 Greenville Ave Dallas, Texas 75243.
