Diane Kaye Minkoff's Obituary
Diane “Kaye” Minkoff, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026. She was born on July 17, 1943, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Kaye was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and compassion touched everyone around her. She will be remembered for the deep love she gave so freely to her family and the warmth that made her a cherished presence in so many lives.
She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Journalism. Kaye enjoyed a long and successful career in interior design spanning more than 40 years, where she brought creativity, elegance, and passion to every project. She also had a remarkable musical gift and could play the piano beautifully by ear. A lifelong sports fan, she was a dedicated Dallas Mavericks supporter who rarely missed a game.
Kaye is survived by her five children: Lisa Minkoff, Tracy Horne, Kelly Wald and her husband Eric, Matthew Minkoff and his wife Brittany, and Ryan Minkoff and his wife Ashlee.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Kayla Zang and her husband Bill, Chandler Dolberry, Garrett Horne, Tyson Horne, Everlee Minkoff, Josephine Minkoff, Kaden Minkoff, Hudson Minkoff, and Adalynn Minkoff, as well as her great-grandson, Ryder Stevens.
She is also survived by her sister, Stephanie Purcell as well as Kaye's former husband, Richard Minkoff and his wife Letty.
Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Allen Purcell and Bertha Gladys Purcell, her brother Allen Kent Purcell, and her beloved grandson, Grayson Horne.
Kaye’s memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the love she so generously shared with her family and friends.
