Diane Arlene (Gillis) Scurlock, 63, passed away on June 10, 2021, in Austin, Texas, after a long battle with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Valley Ranc Read Obituary
Diane- a bright and shining light in this world. She was filled with deep, abiding talent and in her soft, loving voice would share her wisdom and thoughtfulness with friends and family. We were friends since grammar school and remained pen pals when she moved out of state. A cherished memory is receiving one of her long, handwritten letters crafted in her signature block print accompanied by her deftly rendered drawings.
I am so very fortunate to have known Diane. Her legacy, daughter Claire, moves forward in this life with her mother's grace.

Diane had such a bright and caring light about her. Her soft, loving voice will be with me always. A tragic loss to the world to lose a woman with deep and abiding talent.
