Diann was a beautiful sweet soul. I can see her right now on the back seat in her spot at church every Sunday. Although we’d never visited each others homes, during Covid, Diane called me and said she wanted to bring me masks and other protections from this virus - that blessed my heart. I last visited Diann while she was in Lewisville Hospital, where I was greeted with smiles, hugs, and laughter. That’s my Diann. Will miss you sweetheart. You’re now resting in the arms of our Savior.

I met Dyann in February of 1979, we both had apartments at Steppington Place. She told me she was a Special needs Teacher and she was turning 30 that year. She took me under her arm as a younger Sista. I remember her Uncle Lee saying 'Dyann is the only person I know that would bring a friend to a funeral'. I went because she wanted me to meet all of her family and she said it's like a family reunion. Dyann and I were Sisters from that day. We traveled, I would volunteer on Fridays to help with her classes, we partyed on Saturday nights, went to Lucas B & B and went to Church on Sunday morning. My sister LOVED EVERYONE I never heard her say a negative thing about anyone. I would tease her about biting her nails when she was worrying about something. I will truly miss my sister but I will NEVER forget any of the memories we've made. I know she is looking down at me saying 'Little Girl it's OK, I'm alright'. Carol Louis-Jean
