Diann Marie LeNeveu's Obituary
Diann Marie Peters LeNeveu was born on February 4, 1947 in Ocala, Florida, and passed away October 3, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her brother Gary Peters and wife Brenda of Grovetown, Georgia; nephew Curtis Peters and wife Alexis of Atlanta, Georgia; nieces Deborah Peters of Ocala Florida, Juli Peters of Grovetown, Georgia, and cousin Sylvia Cooper Partin and late husband Don of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Jim LeNeveu and wife Rogene of McKinney, Texas; niece LeeAnne Oesch and husband Rusty of McKinney, Texas; and nephews Tom LeNeveu and wife Marsha of Hurst, Texas; Dan LeNeveu and wife Beth of Houston, Texas; and David LeNeveu and wife Elizabeth of McKinney, Texas. She is also survived by two grand-nephews in Georgia, one grand-nephew in California, and nine grand-nieces and nephews in Texas.She is preceded in death by her cherished husband of 41 years, Donald Eugene LeNeveu, who passed away on December 15, 2016, and her beloved father, Guy Peters and mother Marion Lora Peters of Ocala, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her treasured family of pets — Siamese cats Sakina, Keisha and Kim-san; German Shepherds Lady, Sadie, Katie and Callie; and beautiful Shelties Bo, Molly and Sam.Diann attended Anthony High School in Anthony, Florida, then graduated from Central Florida Community College in 1967. She moved to Dallas where she began her Administrative career at Dresser Industries, where she met the love of her life. She also worked with the Republican Party and Reagan campaign in Dallas and Washington, and later served in the church office at Wilshire Baptist Church.Diann was passionate about her faith and was loyal to her close circle of family and friends. Most of all she loved her husband Don, her knight in shining armor, whom she married on April 19, 1975. Diann and Don were devoted to one another through good times and bad, caring for one another in pain and sickness that pervaded their later years together.Diann also loved the beach, needle pointing, and collecting sea shells and family heirlooms. She took delight in attending the Van Cliburn Piano Competition in Fort Worth which she did on many occasions.Diann was quick-witted, fun, and her humor, mischievous laugh and wicked smile will be fondly remembered.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Restland Funeral Home Dallas.Donations may be made in Diann’s name to the Houston Sheltie Sanctuary at www.houstonsheltiesanctuary.com.
