Dianne, you were my beautiful friend for many years. Sharing our cares and concerns, playing cards and other games but most of all sharing our love for each other. Thanks for the memories and being my friend. I'll miss you always. Are you going to Jason's for dinner tonight? Artie

Dianne passed from this world on the evening of her grandson Christian Dennie's ninth wedding anniversary. On March 25, 2006, Christian married my daughter, Ginger Hopkins Dennie, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton. Dianne looked so beautiful and so radiantly happy on that evening. She was dressed in a lovely red, shimmering evening dress, and with her dark hair and eyes she looked like some beautiful, exotic bird. She was the first of the grandmothers to be escorted down the aisle that evening before the ceremony. On March 25, 2015, Dianne passed away at almost the exact hour that she was being escorted back down that same aisle nine years ago when the wedding ceremony ended. And as the sun went down on the evening of her death, a vividly beautiful rainbow appeared in the eastern sky. Maybe it was the beautiful, colorful Dianne, bestowing a parting blessing.
