Dianne Jean Pasant's Obituary
PASANT, DIANNE JEAN (MAYOTTE) 64, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at her home in Port Austin, Michigan. She was born March 21, 1946 in Southbend, IN to the late Bernard and Jean Mayotte. Dianne was a wife, mother, grandmother and active philanthropist in the Dallas Community. She loved her charity work and lived a life of service to her community. She was a founding member of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center League and has held a board position every year since. She served as League President from 1994-1995. At the time of her death, she was on the DCAC Board of Trustees and the DCAC League Executive Board. Other non-profits she worked with include: Dallas Junior Forum, Wilkinson Center Auxiliary, Kidney Association of Texas Auxiliary, Friends of the Child Care Group, Friends of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Genesis Alliance, TACA and CASA to name just a few. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the extensive community of Dallas that she touched. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James; son’s, James II and Matthew (Aubrey); daughter, Sarah; grandchildren: Nicholas and Allison. She was the oldest of 5 children that included sisters, Janet Schafer and Mary LaValley; brother, Timothy Mayotte; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Moyette. Services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, August 23, 2010 at All Saints Catholic Church, 5231 Meadowcreek Dr, Dallas, TX. Visitation will be from 3:00PM – 6:00PM, Saturday and Sunday at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center in her honor.
