Dixie Marie Montgomery passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2018 in Carrollton, Texas. She celebrated 90 years on this Earth. Dixie was born on September 4, 1927 to John and Myrtle (Powers) Morrison in Wichita Falls, TX. and she married Mr. Billy Montgomery on June 29, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked as an Medical Office Manager. Dixie enjoyed several crafting hobbies and was very active in the church choir as she LOVED to sing. Nothing pleased her more than her beloved grandkids and great grandkids; she doted on them often and shared her love abundantly. During her younger years, Dixie would travel, extensively, with her husband and enjoyed gathering with family and friends to let her hosting and cooking abilities shine. She even had a special pot that was used just for making her famous chocolate pie. Her house and her heart were always open and she will be dearly missed by all.Dixie’s memory will continue to be cherished by her beloved husband, Bill; sons: Glenn Montgomery (Cathy) of Carrollton, Texas and Ron Montgomery (Kay) of Cantoment, Florida; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Addie Lee Tompkins of Albany, Georgia and a host of many loving family and friends.Services: A graveside service for Mrs. Dixie Montgomery will be held in Restland Memorial Park on Friday, July 20, 2018, at 10:00 am.Services for Mrs. Dixie Marie Montgomery have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
