Dolly Mae Krodell's Obituary
Dolly Mae Krodell, 92, of Rockwall Texas has passed on March 22nd, 2025. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great, & great-great grandmother, & aunt, Dolly was born in Hainesville, Texas in Wood County on July 29th, 1932 to William Rufus Hasten and Annie Mae Hasten (Hoskins).
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents “Bobo” & Mae Hasten, sister Faye Prince, & son Kenneth Dolan Krodell.
Dolly is survived by her husband of 69 years Floyd Krodell; her grandson Sean Krodell (wife, Vanessa, their children, Justin (wife, Lucy, and children Presley and Sunny) , Jackson (wife, Mackenzie, and child Weston) , Kolten, and Kaden; her daughter's-in-law, Dianna Krodell (and son, Brandon), and Kathy Bailey and husband Roy; her granddaugther, Katie Rutherford; her nieces Peggy Collins (husband Jimmy), Beverly Snow, Barbara Trout; and Nephew Dennis Alsup (wife Angie).
She was known as “Nanny” to most, as well as “Mom or Mama”, and “Aunt Dolly” to so many more.
After her childhood in East Texas she spent most of her life in Garland, Rowlett, back to Garland, and finally in Rockwall, TX. Dolly spent a lifetime with a servant spirit of hard work helping operate the family businesses, from commercial general contractor, to car race-track operations, concessions, and promoting, to being the full time “mother” to all that entered her househould. She was the true definition of a “classy lady”, with her most characterizing traits being beautifully nurturing, kind, & generous. She looked forward to meeting her Lord & Savior, was very thankful in the grace given for her days, and will be deeply missed by all that had the blessing of knowing her.
An open visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Restland Funeral Home's Wildwood Chapel on Monday, March 31st, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., with a graveside service at 11:30 a.m.
