Dolorce Holland Echols' Obituary
Dolorce Echols, of Richardson, Texas, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 29, 2023. She was born on October 7, 1930 to Allen and Trudy Holland. Dolorce married her husband, Earl Echols, on January 12, 1952. In 1958, Earl and Dolorce were saved at Rodgers Baptist Church in Garland, Texas where they faithfully served the Lord for over 40 years. She worked in retail at Young Ages Northpark and later as a realtor with First Mark Phil Ross, Realtors in Lake Highlands. Upon retiring, Dolorce and Earl moved to Holly Lake Ranch, Texas in 1995. They joined Holly Brook Baptist Church and were active members. At the age of 65, she discovered a newfound hobby - golf. She always enjoyed playing with friends and could be spotted daily zooming about in her green golf cart. Dolorce loved to be around others and especially cherished time with fellow believers. She enjoyed playing games like Rummikub, Sequence, Five Crowns and 42 and was as competitive as they come. She loved winning!
Dolorce is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Echols, parents Allen and Trudy Holland, brothers Joe Miller, Pete Holland, Homer Holland, sisters Ruth Harlow, Martinette Lawson, and Sue Williams. She is survived by her son, Ronald W. Perry of Richardson, Texas and his wife, Sue and daughter, Pamela D. Harrod of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Dolorce is also survived by two grandchildren, Emily Smith and husband, Charles and Adam Perry along with four great grandchildren, Jackson Smith, Adley Perry, Asher Perry and Amelia Perry. Dolorce will be missed by all who knew her.
