Olan And Suzanne Smith
Oh, the memories of this precious lady!!! She was always the most gracious hostess and so sweet. On a visit to Dallas when Lori was about two years old, Lori fell into her cactus bed. Lori was screaming and Aunt Dolores took her. She stopped crying and Aunt Dolores very painstakingly removed all the needles. She had such a way with people. Another memory is when she was working at Highland Park. They were playing Odessa Permian in a football playoff game. We picked her up at the airport, drove to the stadium, and we parted to our respective teams' sides. Neither of us were about to sit on the "wrong" side! After the game, we took her back to the airport. She crocheted a beautiful white blanket for Lori when she was born. That blanket was used in both Lori's and Kayleigh's baptisms. My favorite story was when she and I were washing dishes at Granddad's and she said, "I have never understood why the women in this family cook the meal and men and kids eat first"! We loved her so much and our hearts and prayers are with you! Suzanne and Olan
