I remember when Susan retired, her friends and I–all from Berkner High School–had a retirement party for her at the Chocolate Angel. Mrs. Nevins, Morgan, and Kathy were there to help us celebrate. Mrs. Nevins was so very proud of Susan and her achievements as a teacher that there were tears in her eyes during the party. They were tears of joy. During the last three years Susan has devoted herself to her mother. What a wonderful family! Mrs. Nevins will be missed by all. I am happy that I knew her. She was the sweetest person I've ever known. "And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

I always admired Dolores' love for her family and how much she enjoyed cooking for everyone on holidays. She had many fine qualities, including kindness, an easy laugh and being slow to anger.
