Dolores Rodriguez Acosta's Obituary
Dolores “Anie” Rodriguez Acosta passed away May 9th, 2020, peacefully at home in Garland, Texas. Anie was devoted to her children, Elizabeth and Adrian and their families, especially her beloved three grandchildren, Joey, Isabella, and Faith. She was born on December 4th, 1954, to Roberto and Elena Rodriguez in El Paso, Texas. She had many career titles but they were all centered around her passion of teaching and helping others in need. She retired from Humana Insurance in December of 2019. She was a member of St. Michael’s church in Euless, Texas, raised countless dollars for The United Way and volunteered as the P.T.A. President while her children were in school. Anie was known for her loving and caring nature. She met no stranger and lit up the room with her smile and laughter. She was known for being ready to take on an adventure at any moment; including taking road trips with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her life to the fullest and loved those who were special in her life. In Lieu of sending flowers, please send donations to her memorial fund at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which will provide St. Jude with the support to fight against cancer for the most vulnerable (Team Anie Fights Cancer) @fundraising.stjude.org. A mass will be held in her honor at St. Michael’s Church and a private memorial service will be at Restland Funeral Home, Richardson, in June. The Acosta and Rodriguez Families are deeply thankful to Cynthia Arenas for her kindness and care of their dear daughter, mother, and grandmother.
