Mr. Don Floyd Orr was welcomed to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the age of 88. He was born on Monday, August 12, 1929, to parents, George Blake and Catharine Orval (Miller) Orr in Shiloh, Texas.He will be remembered by the love of his life, Shirley Ann (Cook) Orr; daughter Sherry Ryder, husband Randy; daughter Sarah Pittner, husband James; and son David, wife Monica. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Jennifer Pyatt, husband Brad, Stephen Kilbourn, wife Heather,Stephanie Kilbourn, and Rachel Jordan, husband Paul and five great-grandchildren.Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and later became the owner of Orr’s Lawn Service, which he operated for over forty years.A graveside service for Don Floyd Orr will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 11:15 AM at DFW National Cemetery located 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas, 75211.Funeral arrangements for Mr. Don Floyd Orr have been faithfully entrusted to Rest!and Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
