Don Keith Harris' Obituary
HARRIS, DON born April 15, 1945 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and passed away February 4, 2008 in Dallas. Don was an instructor of ophthalmology at Ft. Sam Houston, then retired after 20 years from US Army as an E-7 and worked in customer service at Exxon. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Ramona; daughter, Teresa Valdez and husband Al; son, Don Harris, Jr.; brother, Ron Harris; sister, Karen Smith and husband Dwain; brother, Ken Harris and wife Erma; brother, Dennis Harris; step daughter, Vickie Eckert; close friend, Linda Sowden; and family dog, Siku. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 3:30pm Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
