Maryann I just learned of Dr O’Neal’s passing and my heart is broken. I’m so sorry for your loss! He was the kindest person I’ve ever known and I thought the world of him. I first met him in 1976 when he was my mother’s Dr. He became my Dr. He was an amazing person and he will be missed! My prayers are with you always 🙏🙏🙏

Dr. O’Neal was my doctor for 35 years. He delivered my daughter and several years later met my husband and I at the hospital in the middle of the night when we lost our second baby. I remember his tears as he told us this baby wasn’t meant to be and his compassion as he explained the procedure I needed after losing the baby. May the prayers, memories and kind words of others sustain you during the hard days ahead.
Dr. O’Neal was a kind and wonderful man who practiced with integrity and lived with honor. He will be missed by his friends, family, colleagues, and community.
Oh my how I hate to hear this!! I loved this man! He was an awesome doctor for me and my children for years. It all started when I was 13 and burned my hand really bad and he was fairly new in Sulphur Springs. He stayed after his regular shift to take care of me. I never went to another doctor afterwards. I always trusted him with our care. Later his own son came to work for me to finish out his senior year. I never thought that was enough to repay him for always being the best doctor that I felt like actually cared.

Doctor O’Neal saved my life when I was only 12. I will be forever grateful to him for this and for the genuine, reliable care he provided to me as I grew into adulthood. He will always be “my doctor”, and I feel honored to have known him.
My heart goes out to his family and close friends as they process this news, and I pray a special gift of peace for his wife as she processes her grief.
Dr. O’Neal was a good man. He delivered both of my babies. When I worked there he was a good boss. Prayers for the family. Rest In Peace now.
