Don "Buddy" Thomas' Obituary
THOMAS, DON “BUDDY” passed away peacefully in his home on February 18, 2012. He was surrounded by loved ones as he went to be with the Lord. He was born August 8, 1928 in Jennings, TX and led a very fulfilling life. He served in WWII and the US Navy, and retired from his career at Sears in 1992. In recent years, the joy of his life was watching his great grandson, Hudson, grow and he adored any time he could spend with his family. He was a fun-loving, thoughtful, and always generous individual who touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. But especially his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy; son & daughter in law, Karen & Don Thomas; grandson & granddaughter in law, Allison & Scott Thomas, and their son, Hudson. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, at 12:30pm at Restland Memorial Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Association., 26 Broadway, 14th Floor., New York, NY 10004 or Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
