Mr. Donald Wayne Anderson's Obituary
Donald Wayne Anderson passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 in Carrollton, Texas where he was a long time resident of 53 years. He was born October 24, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. Don graduated from Newman Smith High School in 1985 then attended Brookhaven College. He was a compassionate individual who loved his family. Don had a wide circle of friends, employers, and co-workers who he always kept in contact with throughout his lifetime. Don loved sports. He played soccer, basketball, and baseball in his earlier years and went to the State Baseball Championship finals with the team. Later in life he became avid about playing golf whenever time allowed.
Don truly enjoyed working and building his career. He became a State of Texas Licensed Journeyman Electrician at 22 years of age and had many accomplishments throughout his career. Beginning his career at Bostech Electrical he moved onto Frito-Lay Corp, Quality Fabrication and Design, Walmart/Sams Optical and was Lead Operation Engineer at Citi Financial/Xerox. He ended his career as Lead Operating Engineer at Jones Lang LaSalle. Don was a member of the Association of International Electrical Inspectors.
Don was preceded in death by Todd Gilmore Anderson (father) and grandparents William and Jeanne Washington and Hank and Gillie Anderson and Nita Washington (aunt).
He is survived by Laurie Whittington, Linda Anderson (mother), Ronald Anderson (brother) William B. (uncle) and Donna Lea Washington, cousins Amber Washington, Lauren Washington, and Amanda Washington.

A memorial service will be held Friday May 19, 2023, at Restland's Wildwood Chapel.
