Donald Ray Bradford's Obituary
Donald Ray Bradford, age 86, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on April 16, 2024, his 86th birthday. He was born on April 16, 1938, in Dallas, TX to James Lowell and Mary (Mozley) Bradford. He grew up in Dallas, graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy serving 2 years. He was an entrepreneur who founded Fairway Supply with simply an idea that grew into a successful business. Don was a long-time member of Royal Oaks Country Club where he was frequently on the course. He loved to hunt, fish, and relax with friends. His vibrant personality and charm earned him countless friends. Most of all, Don enjoyed having his nephews over to his house where he would grill to perfection! His family and many friends were important to him, as was shown by his love and loyalty he had for them. His wife, Carolyn (McClung) preceded him in death. Also preceding him were his parents and his sister, Jo Ann Bradford Tabor. He is survived by his sister, Eileen Bradford Smith of Orlando, FL. Also, surviving him are 4 nephews, Guy Tabor (Becky) of Houston, TX, Gregg Tabor (Amy), R. Bradford Smith, Stephen A. Smith (Chandra) of Orlando, FL; 2 great-nephews, Paul Bradford Tabor (Rosario) and Sawyer Bradford Smith of Orlando, FL; great-niece Katheryn (Jacob) Stults of Houston, TX, and great-grandnephew, Bradley Paul Tabor. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
