Donald Jake Cortez's Obituary
Donald Jake Cortez, 55, entered eternal life with his Lord God Heavenly Father on Friday, April 8, 2016. A faithful servant of the Lord and his country, he served in the United States Navy at NAS Miramar. He was in management for 18 years at Maxim Integrated, formerly Dallas Semiconductor. A beloved son, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, Donald was a man of deep faith and a steward of God’s Grace. Donald is survived by Sylvia Biera Cortez, his loving wife of more than 20 years; his children, Dawnie Janelle Espinoza and husband Alberto of Del Rio, TX; Serena Renee Constancio of San Angelo, TX; Drew Garrett Cortez of Austin, TX; Staci Paige Cortez and Leah Marie Vasquez of Irving, TX, and grandchildren, Diego Jake, Marcos Antonio, Luis Alberto, and Raul Humberto Espinoza; Jason Eli, Isaiah Paul, and Leah Marie Vasquez, and Aaron Paul Cordova. His Mother, Julia Albarado Cortez and mother-in-law Mary Biera, both of San Angelo, TX. His sisters, Deborah Flores and husband Joe of Abilene, TX; Nora Roberts; Dorothy Ochoa and husband Johnny; Julie Richey, all of San Angelo, TX; and DeeAnn Villalobos and husband Fabian of Irving, TX. His brother-in-laws Freddy Biera and wife Lupe; David Biera; Rudolph Biera Jr.; Raully Biera, all of San Angelo, TX; Ramon Biera and wife Trini of Arlington, TX; Tony Biera and wife Sandra of Desoto, TX; and numerous uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Donald is preceded into the Presence of God by his father, Jake Cortez Jr.; father-in-law Rudolph Jacques Biera; and sister-in-law Patsy Biera. A celebration of Donald’s life begins with Viewing at 5PM followed by Holy Rosary on Wednesday, April 13th at 7PM held at Christ Episcopal Church, 534 West 10th St, Dallas, TX; and Holy Mass on Thursday, April 14th at 11AM held at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church, 2330 Cheyenne St, Irving, TX, with Interment at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX. Pallbearers will be Marc Flores, JoeD Flores, JR. Ochoa, Jonathan Ochoa, Joshua Kemp, Joseph Kemp, Alberto Espinoza, Ramon Ray Ray Biera, and Matthew Biera.
