Donald Linton Ferguson's Obituary
Donald Linton Ferguson, age 67, lived a full life. He was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in and around OakCliff. He went to Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas. He was married to Susan Owens in 1972. At the age of 19 he joined the United States Army where he honorably served for 20 years. During which time he served two tours in Vietnam and received several awards for his outstanding service including two Purple Hearts a Bronze Star and the Air Medal. While in the service to our country he was stationed in Japan, Germany and at various places in the United States. After his retirement from the Army he continued down his path of service as a security guard. After losing his wife in 1995 he retired and spent his time enjoying family and friends. His favorite pastimes were going to the casino, occupying his favorite booth at the Waffle House or visiting with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Susan; survived by his son Michael Donald Ferguson and his wife Angela; Daughter Jennifer Ann Pifer and husband Mark; Mother Margaret Ferguson; sister Pam Carter and husband Donald; brother Ronald Ferguson and wife Sharon; Grandchildren Samantha Carter and husband Brian; Cody McGill and wife Tosha; Hunter McGill, Mikala Ferguson; Kian Ferguson; Great Grandchildren Cooper Carter; Kynlee Carter; Paisley McGill and extended family and friends.
