Graveside services for Donald Richard Fulk, 86, of Garland, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m on November 1, 2019 at Restland Cemetery.Donald was born 11/26/1932 in Indian Territory, Caddo County, Carnegie, Oklahoma across the road from Hap’s Junk Yard in a 1 bedroom & little kitchen white house to Emery Richard and Dessie Mae (Owen) Fulk.Donald married Paula Jean Thurman May 16, 1953.Donald attended Carnegie Public Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1950. He served in United States Navy for 4 years, discharged February 1957. He attended A & M Tech School at Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was employed at Texas Instruments as an Electronic Mechanical Tech. for 30 years retiring from there January 12, 1990.Donald was a member of Axe United Methodist Church, Garland Texas.He was a competitive pistol shooter A Distinguish Master Civilian shooting and winning many Local, State, Regional and National NRA Matches. He was a Lifetime member of the NRA. Among his hobbies were touring the states on Motorcycles and RV’s, woodworking, watching TV documentaries and Scuba diving.Donald is survived by his wife, daughters Dawn Denise Fulk and Shawn Latrese and husband Craig Cooper, grandsons William (Billy)Clark and wife Amanda Basilio Wells, Donald (Doni) Edwin Strain and step grandson William Ray Cooper, brother-in-law R.H. Thurman and many nieces, nephews, and cousins and future great granddaughter Olivia Kate Wells.He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents George and Lily Owen from Sentinel, Oklahoma. Webb and Betty Fulk from Carnegie, two sisters-in-law Wynema Thurman, Mary Thurman Hooper and one brother-in-law, Homer Hooper.In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Axe United Methodist Church, Garland, Texas.
