Donald R. Gholson, Sr.'s Obituary
Donald Ray "Don" Gholson, Sr., of Pantego, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. He was 84.
Don was born in Dallas, Texas, to Charles Lloyd and Ruby Mae (Starks) Gholson.
Don was an over-the-road truck driver and a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Louise, his parents and grandparents.
Treasuring Don's love and memories are: a son, Donald Ray (Star) Gholson, Junior, of Grosse Tete, Louisiana; four daughters, Teresa (Randy) Bonney of Hurst, Texas, Nanette (KJ) Edwards of Morgan, Texas, Denise Wallenhurst of Weatherford, Texas, and Emily (Dennis) Rutledge of Bedford, Texas; two brothers, Charles David (Linda) Gholson of Lake Fork, Texas and Darrell Lynn Nulisch of Gloucester, Massachusetts; one sister, Darlene Oppelt of Dallas; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two aunts and three uncles.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Restland Funeral Home.
Don's life will be celebrated in a funeral service on at 10:00AM on Monday, January 29, 2024, in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Memorial Park. Interment with military honors will follow in Restland Memorial Park.
