Donald Morris Homerstad's Obituary
Don, 90 years of age was born to parents in Oak Cliff, Texas to parents Thelma Alice and Gustaf Morris Homerstad on October 14, 1927. He passed away in Dallas, Texas on August 28, 2018. Don serviced his country in the Army and the Airforce. He attended SMU and worked for Dun and Bradstreet after his service. Don was a faithful member of Scofield Bible Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy L. Homerstad; son, Paul Homerstad; grandchildren, Stephanie Caplinger, ( Jacob Caplinger), Steven M Homerstad ( Briana) Michelle ( Javier Reyes) and James R. Homerstad; great-grandchildren, Anne Marie, Christopher, Kensley, and Daniel. Don was a man of God with a sense of humor he wanted to leave them laughing! He loved British comedies – he even picked up some of the languages. ” Greetings and Tata were hello and goodbye.” He loved the Bible, he memoried many verses when dementia took over he forget them so we read a scripture aloud nearly every day and he had an affirmation of faith most mornings and nights. A wonderful husband and father who loved his family and he worked hard to make sure that the family was provided for and was an excellent example of a family oriented man. A funeral service for Mr. Donald Homerstad will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 10:00 AM in t The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
