So very sorry, Diann, to hear of Don's death. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Jay Lowndes
Our memories of Don from Rogene and Jim: Way back, playing with the Zweig cousins. Both boys playing center field in baseball and softball. Baylor Homecoming,1958, Mr. and Mrs. LeNeveu and Don met the "girlfriend" for the first time. Don was Best Man for Jim. Don came to visit when he was single (we stocked up on ketchup and apple butter for him). He took us boating on White Rock Lake when LeeAnne was grade school age. Your beautiful garden wedding after the big storm the night before. Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays early on in Amarillo, then later in Dallas and Houston. One year in Houston we had LeeAnne's two dogs, your German Shepherd and our cats. We have a picture of Don working the "pooper scooper" before leaving! When the twins were born Don gifted us with two months of diaper service. Great gift! Don gave our boys Dallas Cowboy shirts for Christmas when they were little. Later he provided support for them while in college. Don's retirement party and Jim's 75th. The list could go on and on. Most recently the beautiful and meaningful service for him in the chapel. He would have been pleased. We are richer for having had Don as our brother and brother-in-law.
Tony and Shelley Gifford purchased the Sapphire Skies Bouquet for the family of Donald Eugene LeNeveu.
Bill & Carolynne LeNeveu purchased the Simply Elegant Spathiphyllum for the family of Donald Eugene LeNeveu.
I remember Don as a kind, courteous, nephew, who always had a smile and gentle manner. Always very considerate of Diann and her health issues. Nell Marie (Hutton) Richardson
I am Jimmy Carter from Anthony FL, hub of the universe in case you wonder where Anthony is. I never met Don face to face, just on the phone whenever I would occasionally would call to speak with my fellow Anthony-ite…is that the proper acronym?…Diann. My real connection with Don is through Diann…we were 12 year classmates at Anthony High School. I felt a deep connection to my classmates and became the keeper of the class files for our school reunions. So I would call, or email all of them a few times a year. That is how I came to know Don's distinct voice and he was always very friendly to me as we spoke about his health issues and life in general. It came to pass that after a few seconds of updates and congenialities, he would usually say…"just a minute, I'll get Diann for you." I learned from Don and Diann that his health was worsening as time went by and I realized that it was not going to get better unless the Lord chose to fix it. So Don and Diann became frequent fliers on our church prayer list over the last few years whenever I learned of a significant downturn in his or her health issues. I am very glad that I was blessed to "meet" a born Texan by such a coincidence as this and I know he was a gentle, caring man. Thank you Don for being the perfect fit for my friend, Diann.
