Donald Gene Ligon's Obituary
Mr. Donald Gene Ligon, age 89, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, in Sunnyvale, Texas. He was born to Cecil Otis and Opal Lee Ligon on June 12, 1932, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Donald leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. He was preceded in death by his parents: father, Cecil Otis Ligon and his mother Opal Lee Brown Ligon Ritter and Step-father George Revis Ritter; one brother, Cecil Otis Ligon, Jr.; two daughters, Deborah Gail Ligon McKiddy and Donna Jean Ligon Wall Kinum.
He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him. Donald is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mazell Ligon; his two sons, Terry Michael Ligon and Douglas Gene Ligon; daughter Teresa Michelle Ligon Ramsey; Also, to cherish his memory is numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as 2 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Wildwood Chapel, located at Restland Memorial Park. There will be an hour visitation prior from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the same location.
