Donald Scott Metcalf's Obituary
Metcalf, Donald Scott (Don), Born August 10, 1927, went to be with our Lord and is reunited with his loving wife, Ann Metcalf on March 18, 2015 peacefully surrounded by family. Don grew up in Oak Cliff and attended Sunset High. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and Texas Christian University. He was a loving Father, a Deacon in his church and served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Armed Forces. He was the Manager of pricing/contracts at E-Systems and went onto retire from Raytheon where he and Ann began their travels around the country in their RV, loving life. Don is survived by his brother, John Metcalf; Ann’s sisters, Jo Taylor and Maxine Kelley. Ann and Don have three children, Rick, CAM, and Rusty Metcalf; six grandchildren, LeeAnn, Travis, Tyler, Trevor, Jason, Travis C.; great grandchildren, Liam and Alex. Viewing will be Friday, March 20, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Services will be held at Restland Abbey Chapel on Saturday, March 21 at 3:00 PM. Donations in his memory can be made to: Buckner Children’s Home, 5200 S Buckner Blvd, Dallas, TX 75227. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
